bubblegum, bubblegum... POP! POP!
It would be crazy for me to think I know exactly what the Lord has in mind for me.
At any given moment something can pop up; out of the blue and completely random.
A lot of the time i wish i knew why something was happening
& where i will be ten years from now, five years from now, or even two months from now... But where would be the fun in that?
I was recently called for a job interview with Vector... A cutlery company which basically sells knives. WHAT!!! KNIVES?! Now, if you really know me you would find this quite humorous due to the fact that me having knives in my hands would scare most people since I am very silly and unpredictable to say the least... not to mention I play soccer, so I come off as being very aggressive I guess you would say.
Getting a call from this company was definitely not what I was expecting when a
random phone number showed up on my phone display.
I was surprised, shocked, and a teency bit curious at the same time.
Me as a sales representative? Selling cutlery? Is this for real?
The truth is... I thought the phone call to set up a job interview was random,
but it wasn't AT ALL. the Lord has mapped out every detail of our lives.
He knows EVERYTHING about us.
He even knows the number of hairs on our very heads (Luke 12:7 & Matthew 10:30).
I would have never thought I would be recommended by someone to sell cutlery for Vector, but I guess I can never fully expect what exactly will come up on any given day while I'm on this earth. :) we can never begin to imagine the amazing plans the Lord has for us. We just have to say YES to wherever He is leading us. But be careful & don't say yes to too many things because then you will just have chaos. I definitely find myself always getting involved in too many things & too many ideas. But when I prayerfully seek the Lord and ask Him... He lets me know which ones to say yes to by leading me with peace.
Soooo.... I said no to the Vector job. Although it would have been a great job, I was feeling overwhelmed by it and not in peace at all!
The Lord says in Isaiah 55:8-9,
"I don't think the way you think.
The way you work isn't the way I work.
For as the sky soars high above earth,
so the way I work surpasses the way you work,
and the way I think is beyond the way you think."
(The Message)
The Lord has things in mind that I would never even think of.
It's fun living under His control and mighty hand of guidance because I never know what to expect, but I always know that He is right by my side leading me & guiding me.
